This new series of turbocharger has a ceramic Coated Compressor Housing, we have done this change to increase the efficiency of the turbo and to spread heat evenly, we know that turbos suffer from heat soak and this can cause a loss in power due to the air density decreasing, this range can now put a stop to that, this is the turbo you need. Ceramic coatings are typically used on components to reduce temperatures as they have a very low heat transfer coefficient.

This means they do not absorb heat efficiently, making them an excellent thermal barrier. Speedup Autoparts wanted to ensure that we really are supplying our customers with an upgraded turbocharger, so for 2016, we took the industry standard and halved it. That's right; the upgraded turbocharger shown here is guaranteed to have a balance of less than half the industry standard prescribed limits, including OEM turbochargers.

If one of our upgraded turbochargers has a balance exceeding this then it automatically gets rejected. The turbocharger you will receive has been balanced using the latest VSR machine technology from the UK and will be provided with an individual balance report. During the balancing process, the VSR machine spins the turbine wheel, using compressed air, up to speeds reaching 210,000 revs/ min.

Whilst spinning, the machine measures the tiny amount of imbalance created by the rotating components and calculates the procedure for correcting this imbalance. After correcting the balance the vibration results will be lowered to below industry standard prescribed limits, typically not exceeding 1.0 g-pk or above.
